The Crown Spa Christmas package starts on the 23rd of December
23rd December 2008
Traditional Yorkshire High Tea to welcome you on arrival until 5.30pm!
Upon arrival all rooms will have a selection of complimentary festive fruits & Chocolates! Why not add to this and pre-order
our Christmas Champagne especially sourced by our resident Sommelier to quaff at your leisure in your room from £29.95
per bottle. (Rooms are ready from 3:00pm.)
Later around 6pm meander down and join us for a “welcome” glass of warming mulled wine. This is a perfect chance to meetyour hosts and new friends; your Christmas starts here! Enjoy your 4 course Table d’ Hote Dinner in the Taste restaurant and
later enjoy friendly company whilst listening to our pianist in the lounge; or wonder off and watch a film on the big screen.
Christmas Eve
Why not wake up early and have a walk along the Esplanade to the “Clock Tower” where many a young man has asked his
beloved for her hand in marriage. You may recognise this area as this is where “The Royal” television series is filmed!
Breakfast is served until 11.00 am. The day is yours free to shop or tour the wonderful countryside around Scarborough, or
relax in the Crown Spa with swimming pool and sauna suites or why not pre-book a spa treatment.
Later around noon a light buffet lunch will be served between 12 and 2pm.
If you miss this do join us for Afternoon tea in the lounge with a few traditional games until late afternoon; or why not relax in
your room. We could deliver to your room a tray with a bottle of chilled champagne, and assortment of Canapés to start your
evening in style for just £35 (please pre-order).
Around 6pm do wander down for a Kir-royale drinks reception and another enjoyable evening meal in the Taste restaurant. After;
please yourself to choose from the many events on offer from dancing in the Consort suite, enjoying a film on the big screen, or
have a relaxing drink and chat with friends. Do attend our local church on the south cliff which is within easy walking distance for
Midnight Mass.
Christmas Day
It’s Christmas Morning and Father Christmas has been! Be sure to check outside your door to see if he has left you a present.
Why not work up an appetite by having a traditional Scarborough Christmas day walk along the foreshore or along to the “clock
tower” and down to the world’s largest star map before you make the climb back through the Italian gardens in time for a full
Yorkshire breakfast.
Later participate in the hotel treasure hunt before the traditional Christmas lunch is served. After the hearty meal relax and
watch H.M the Queen’s address to the Nation, then if you wish join in the festive games and see if you can win a prize. Late
afternoon relax with afternoon tea & Christmas cake with English cheddar, in the lounge.
In the evening join us for a festive Christmas Punch drinks reception to wet your appetite before Chef’s famous “Grand
Christmas Buffet”. After your meal you are free to relax or take part in our Creative Quiz or settle down to enjoy one of this
years Blockbuster Movies on the Big Screen.
Boxing Day
For early risers start with a Coffee & Danish served in the Lounge from 8.00am with “Chef’s Special Brunch” served from
9.30am. After breakfast why not have an invigorating coastal walk down to the harbour to watch the traditional Football Match-
Fireman v Fishermen on the South Bay Sands. This is followed by the Homemade Raft Race around the Harbour. Then
meander up through the old town to the Continental Market in the precinct.
Afternoon tea will be served, followed by an Afternoon at the Races, all profits to local charities. Join us for the final evening with
a sumptuous meal. After Dinner our entertainer, will sing all your favourite hits or watch one of our Blockbuster Movies on the
Big Screen.

New Year followed by Haggis, neaps & tatties; followed by more dancing til the sma’ hours.
New Years Day

tea in the lounge (from around 3.00pm) then later around 3.30pm we present “Ladies & Gentlemen, place your bets” for an
afternoon at the races. All profits to local charities. Later in the evening please join us for the Chef’s famous “Dressed Buffet”
in the Restaurant after choose from the many events on offer from entertainment, enjoying a film on the big screen, or have
a relaxing drink and chat with friends in the bar.
